A Visit to Marvella

For more than a century, our family barn has stood in the Nebraska countryside, gathering stories with every passing season. Over the years, it has passed through five different families, each leaving a little piece of their story behind.

The barn became part of my own story when my parents purchased the property during my freshman year of high school. Some of my fondest memories were made here—riding horses, watching my brother and sister raise sheep for the county fair, and having chickens roaming around the property.

A couple years ago, my husband and I had the opportunity to purchase the property from my parents. The barn had always held a special place in our hearts, and with so much history already tucked into its old wooden beams, we couldn't imagine a more fitting home for Marvella.

Today, the barn has found a new purpose: a place where the stories of its past intertwine with those of the European antiques we thoughtfully gather, each waiting to become part of someone else's story.
