Hamer

A small vintage English oil painting of a weir on the River Stour, painted in soft greens and river blues. Water spills over the stony weir while an angler sits fishing at the water's edge, with leafy trees and meadows beyond, birds overhead and russet foliage along the near bank. It is signed M. K. Hamer at the lower right, with the artist's label and a handwritten title on the back, and sits in an ornate gold-tone frame. A charming little piece for a gallery wall, a bookshelf or a small easel on a desk.

Details

Origin: England

Artist: Mary K.
